Synopsis[]
During the church revival, Max faces a tough choice in order to find a way to play ball, while Clance wrestles with her own secret. In last place under Dove’s leadership, the Peaches must band together to improve their game. Carson and Greta try to be friends, while Lupe struggles with her loyalty to Dove.
Plot Summary[]
Carson has an intense dreams about her husband, Charlie. In her dream, he appears in his uniform and they jump into bed together. Carson's roommate, Greta, woke up and saw they were in the middle of foreplay - she wants a threesome and they agree. Carson wakes up from her dream. Carson tells Greta she wants to just be friends.
The Rockford Peaches are in last place in the league. The team complains about their coach, Dove's, training style. The team is paid, but Jess deduces that this will be his last paycheck to Carson. Meanwhile, Lupe goes with Dove to do interviews with the press because she is his favorite. He calls her his “Little Dove” and “The Spanish Striker”. The girls make attempts to get Dove to train them more. However, when Jo talks to Dove about coaching, he makes her run laps.
Max and Greta decide to organize a practice night to help the team train since Dove isn't helping them. The practices go well and Carson helps coach. They win the game! Greta and Carson continue to become closer friends and Jo starts to get jealous. One day, Greta tries to kiss Carson in the kitchen, but she pulls away and tells her not to kiss her because she’s "normal". Greta later goes on a date with a man and Carson finds herself becoming jealous.
Lupe confronts Esti about what’s going on because she's out of the loop about what's going on with the team. Esti tells her to talk to Carson, avoiding the subject of explaining to her that she's iced out because of her close relationship with Dove. Lupe tells Dove that Carson's been going behind his back and he benches her.
Max discusses her plan with Clance at a church revival. She will work in the factory at night so she can play on the baseball team. Clance suddenly passes out and it's later revealed that she is pregnant.
Max finally admits to her mom that she got a job at the factory. She tells her her plan is to work there instead of helping with her mom's salon. she still dreams of playing baseball.
Carson gets a phone call from Charlie, who tells her he’s in Dublin on leave. She apologizes to Charlie for the letter but he told her he never got a letter. Charlie hangs up and it's revealed that he's not really in Dublin but in an infirmary.
